Although I've never had much trouble getting to sleep, I have noticed a whole lot of different tips around the 'net. In particular, lifhack.org has pretty good coverage. May try a different technique each night. Browse through their different articles tagged with sleep.

I find if you knock yourself unconscious as you're about to fall asleep works perfectly...make sure you have a nice bottle of advil next to your bed so when you wake up in the morning you have a way to relieve your new found headache. The best way to do this is either suspend a brick from your ceiling above your head and as you're laying down, simply pull down a string and release said brick until it falls firmly on your head, thus knocking you unconscious.

I hope this helps you in your sleep deprivation and many crazy dreams to you my friend.
